State Farm® Insurance Agent Theresa Lamb

"I've been with Theresa Lamb for a long time (roughly 15-20 years), but sadly, it's time to change. This office used to be GREAT to deal with (back when Jill was still there) and I always had prompt follow-ups and communications from staff here. However, in the past few years, this has drastically changed. Last year, I was involved in an accident as the driver of a family member's car. I was covered as a driver and the other party was at fault. My family member's car was fixed and I thought everything was good. The Indiana BMV later sent me a letter stating I needed to prove I was covered under my family member's insurance. (My family member and I both have State Farm and Theresa was our agent.) I sent Theresa an email/message through the State Farm website requesting the proper info to be sent to the IN BMV. A week or two passes, I hear nothing, and I still have a pending suspension of my driver's license if I fail to provide proof of insurance. I then call Theresa Lamb's office and spoke to a receptionist and left a message, stating what I needed. Yet another week or so goes by and STILL no action has been taken to send proof of coverage. I finally have to drive 2 hours (I no longer live in the New Albany area) to personally speak to someone to get this resolved. I was only able to speak to the receptionist and gave her my info, what I needed, and informed her of my repeated attempts to resolve this and the lack of follow-up from their staff, but was met with a half-a$$ "sorry." No one ever followed up with me yet again, although the appropriate coverage info was FINALLY sent to the IN BMV. It's sad that it took nearly a month of reaching out to this office through multiple times through multiple means before they finally followed through. Lastly, I needed to add an additional policy and did the "Get a Quote" on the State Farm website. Sadly, days passed and I heard nothing, which was the final straw. I decided to change insurance agents and would you believe, as soon as I requested the agent change, someone from Theresa Lamb's office finally contacted me about the additional policy quote. Sorry, too little, too late. I see other people have complained of the same lack of follow-up on the part of this office. Sadly, this wasn't the case in the past, and I don't know what's happened, but this definitely has become a problem of late. I just don't have time or the means to repeatedly reach out, never to receive follow-up from staff at this office."

"I tried to get an old insurance policy cancelled after it's term ran out and the cost went up. I had to follow-up with them multiple times when they didn't do the cancellation like they said they would, didn't return calls like they said they would, and didn't help us get a refund for a charge that was made after they told us the policy would be cancelled. It turns out the policy needed a "wet signature" to cancel which isn't a problem. But the fact that it took a month to get that figured out and executed is problematic. Especially because were charged the 3x cost in early October and would have been charged again in November if I hadn't cancelled that CC. They were no help in getting a refund for that charge. I ended up having to submit a CC dispute for the October charge in the hope of getting a refund that way. Really disappointed with the service I received and I would not use this office again."
